Why there’s value in client retention

Here’s a fact that I know will blow your mind:

It takes 6-7x more effort and money to attract a new client than to retain the ones you already have! (source)

So how are you selling to your existing clients?

In the effort to “close more sales,” it’s easy to get caught up thinking that you need to attract new leads to expand your business and make more money. Right?

New leads = expanded network = growing audience = more money opportunities

When I first started in sales, I firmly believed that every client who walked through the door was a new opportunity and a new way to reach my sales goals. So I focused in the moment on who I was talking to and how I was going to get them to say yes.

I refined my pitching skills, worked on my sales psychology, and conversion methods.

And then I watched as my peers outperformed me, felt less exhausted, and made more money. I needed to change what I was doing.

I enlisted the help of a mentor who taught me the power of selling to your existing clients - and everything changed.

Instead of worrying about every new person who came in and how I was going to get them to buy, I focused my attention on the people who had already said yes and how I was going to get them to keep coming back.

And the result? My sales numbers SKYROCKETED, I started outperforming my peers, reached record sales months, and it was FUN.

If your goals for 2021 were to skyrocket your sales, grow your business, and/or make more money, and you’re still struggling on making that happen, reach out and let’s se if we can end your year strong and get you where you want to be.
